Sequins and Tulle...

Saturday night was my family reunion banquet. The banquet was themed in the 70's & 80's. My mom had mentioned this a couple times leading up the reunion... But what to wear was the furthest thing from my mind.

Friday morning I woke and was totally confused about what to wear and to pack for the weekend (I hate last minute packing I always forget something or realize I could have done something better/different). Anyway, it got to the point I was just trying random stuff on. Remember this dress that I refuse to wear out?  I ended up trying it on just for the heck of it. Then I decided its the 80's... you can't go wrong with sequence and a top that hangs off the shoulder. Then I seemed to think a bunch of tulle would be appropriate as well... LOL smh

My cousin said I looked like something and that jumped out of Teen Wolf. LOL!! :/ lol Is that good or bad? I don't really know what that means.... *shrugs*

Just Go With It ...

Along with a wedding comes a bridal shower/bachelorette party. I wasn't really sure what the festivities were going to be like for the evening but I was told it was going to be a casual affair. I have no problem grabbing jeans and a T-shirt, I could live in those actually. But it's a bridal shower for goodness sake... you have to dress up a little bit.

Anyway for a while now I've wanted to dress up some shorts. So I figured this would be the perfect opportunity since I have nothing else going on with my life *rolls eyes*. So I put an outfit together I felt pretty good about...packed it (along with a backup outfit lol).. and didn't think about it until it was time to go to the bridal shower.

It wasn't until I was getting dressed and listening to the other girls talk about what they had brought that I started to doubt my choice and wondering if what I picked out was appropriate for the evening because I was clearly the only fool in shorts -_____- lol. But I pressed on, what else do u do when all the clothes you have are the ones you packed? lol. After I got fully dressed I didn't feel so crazy about what I picked. And the fact I got a couple of compliments didn't hurt either lol.

The moral of the evening...

Don't doubt what you picked out to wear...

Be confident in what you decide to wear...

Chances are... Someone will appreciate what you have on and will like it

My Tulle & Doves

I feel like I haven't blogged in ages... but it's really been a little over a week. I've been busy the past week, my life has consisted of late nights and early mornings plus... I haven't even been around the internet to blog. Anyway, this post isn't about whats been happening the past week or my latest revelations (which I might reveal in a later post). It's about my new favorite skirt! I saw this skirt and knew I had to have it.

So.... I have this thing where I name certain clothing

(call me strange) depending on what it reminds me of  .... and this is 

my tutu skirt. Blame all the tulle!

Truthfully, I should have waited to wear this skirt till 

it was warmer but I was too impatient, so I threw on a

cardi since it's still a little cold out.

I heart the tulle, the sheerness, and  the length...

It's great.
